■ Results of EHS Activities in FY2022

 

The table below shows the results of our actions in FY2022. We were able to generally achieve our initial action targets, but we did not achieve our energy intensity (target: 1% annual average improvement, not achieved due to increased production) and waste plastic recycling rate (target: more than 40%, not achieved due to the suspension of facilities at our waste treatment outsourcing company).

 

For external activities, we work together with Shionogi & Co., Ltd., our parent company, to engage in various activities, such as supplier engagement activities, support for the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and participation in the TCFD Consortium. Moreover, Shionogi Pharma independently participates in the Japan Partnership for Circular Economy (J4CE) and is involved in the resource recycling project with multiple companies. As a result of these activities, the SHIONOGI Group was awarded the Bronze Medal by EcoVadis.
